WHY GRANDPA POSTING - BE READY!

As a Christian, we know that Jesus is to come back to this earth to fulfill Bible Prophecy.  As you read the writings of the Apostle Paul. You would think that Christ would be back within Paul’s lifetime. That was 2,000 years ago! We know only the Father knows when this event will happen, but we have been lulled into a feeling that we have lots of time, because it has been so long since Christ walked this earth.  Maybe we have also gotten too involved with trying to be “politically correct”, instead of being “Biblically correct” and understanding the message of the Parable of the 10 virgins.

One of the highlights of 2014 was June 1, 2014, when our Son in law, Jamey Humphreys and our Daughter Jamie were baptized at Central Christian Church Campus in Kingman, Arizona.  They attended the Membership classes with our Grandson Seth for 6 weeks prior to their Baptism on Sunday. Debi & I with our Daughter Karyn, who came up from Phoenix and Grandson Seth were there to witness their baptism.

Ready 4 salvation

When we spend time in the Bible verses and especially John 3:16, we find that God has made our Salvation relatively easy; everyone who believes in my Son, Jesus Christ, accepts him as your personal Savior may not perish but may have eternal life. Now that we have Salvation are we ready for Salvation? But is it really that simple?

Growing in Faith

Grandpa grew in faith by spending more time studying the Bible He learned that the Bible is way more than a history book, as some think. He came to understand that the Bible really is the living word of God and that every verse in the Bible has value, even today! What we accept as the ways of the world are not always God's ways.

As a child Grandpa learned to pray to Jesus at meals and bedtime. (i.e. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.) Praying is one of the easiest ways to talk with Jesus, anytime anywhere. No books or equipment needed!  Jesus quoting from Isaiah 56:7, said that prayer was the symbol of His church: "My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." Matthew 21:13
